Building Custom Widgets

Both your Overview page and each device’s Diagnostics page are built from widgets – small tiles you add, arrange, and configure yourself. Instead of a fixed layout everyone shares, you build the exact view that matters to you.

Adding a Widget

  1. Click Add Widget at the top of the Overview or Diagnostics page.
  2. Give it a title (e.g. “Main Projector Temp”).
  3. Choose a Widget Type (see below).
  4. If the type needs one, pick a target device and the metric to track.
  5. Choose a width – Half Column, 1, 2, or 3 Columns – to control how much space it takes up.
  6. Save. The widget appears immediately and is saved to your account, so it’s there the next time you log in.

Types of Widgets

Fleet-wide (Overview page):

  • Fleet Health Score – an overall health rating across your whole fleet.
  • Global Fleet Status Summary – a quick count of online/offline/attention-needed devices.
  • Relational Fleet Topology Map – a visual tree of your clients, locations, and devices.
  • Alert Log Count – how many alerts have fired recently.

Per-device (either page):

  • Specific Device Metric (Number) – a single live reading, like temperature or fan speed.
  • Circular Gauge (Percentage) – the same idea, shown as a gauge.
  • Live Telemetry Graph – a live-updating chart with Live / Day / Week / Month views (see below).
  • Device Online/Offline Status – a simple status dot and label.
  • Device Health Rating (0-100) – a single device’s own health score.
  • 90-Day Uptime Matrix – a calendar-style grid of daily uptime.
  • Webcam Snapshot – the latest still image, for devices with a camera attached.
  • Remote Action Button – a one-click Power On/Off, Mute, or other command, right on the page.

Diagnostics page only – deeper technical tiles for a single device, covering things like RS232 device info, shutter/freeze state, lamp and laser hours, image output, filter hours, PJLink component health and replacement parts, advanced commands, Live Mode, the fault history log, and the raw data stream. These are aimed at troubleshooting one specific unit in detail.

Working with Graphs

A Live Telemetry Graph widget has four view buttons: Live, Day, Week, and Month. Live shows a rolling real-time feed; the others show historical trends over that period. Your choice is remembered per widget, so a graph you leave on “Day” stays on “Day” next time you visit.

Editing, Resizing, and Reordering

  • Click the pencil icon on any widget to change its title, target, metric, or width.
  • Drag and drop a widget by its tile to reorder it relative to the others.
  • Changes save automatically – there’s no separate “Save Layout” step.

Sharing a Widget

Some widget types can be shared publicly – click the share icon on the widget to generate a link that shows a live, read-only view of just that widget, with no login required. Useful for putting a live status readout on a lobby screen or sending a quick link to someone without dashboard access.

Removing a Widget

Click the X icon on a widget to remove it. This only removes it from your own layout – it doesn’t affect the device or delete any data.
